The German-American Women's Club Hamburg e.V. (DAFC) was founded in 1951 by American and German women with the aim of helping children during the difficult post-war years and easing the burden on families. Playhouses were built using DAFC funds and donated to the city, which, in turn, provided educators.
Current Engagement
Today, the DAFC financially supports and oversees seven playhouses, providing disadvantaged and underprivileged children in Hamburg with a safe space where they can develop under professional supervision. In addition, the DAFC supports various other social projects benefiting disadvantaged children in Hamburg.
All members contribute voluntarily with dedication and passion.
